In order to create this handsome, high-performing knife set made exclusively for Crate and Barrel, the cutlery experts at Wusthof turned to Berlin-based designer Bjoern Berger. Inspired by the ways in which home cooks are being reconnected with food production through farmer's markets, home gardens and container gardening, he based his knife designs on gardening tools. Combining soft-touch, non-touch bolsters and rounded wood handles with a razor-sharp, high-carbon stainless steel blades, the Urban Farmer knives represents true innovation, perfect for preparing home-cooked meals with garden-fresh ingredients. Knifes are housed in a beautiful wood block that not only looks great on the counter, it also takes up less space due to its unusual, round design. Knife set includes: 4" paring, 5" serrated utility, 8" cook's and 9" bread knives, shears, and honing steel.
